The "Tanabata 七夕" Tumbler was inspired by the Tanabata summer festival celebrated in Japan on the July 7th and falls on the August, 7th according to the lunar calendar. The festival revolves around a story of two lovers separated by the milky-way and are joint once a year on the date of the Tanabata. The festival has been celebrated in Japan since the Heian period (8th c), where bamboo shoots are decorated with colorful papers filled with wishes.

 

Painting is printed on a double-walled construction. Helps keep your warm beverages warm and your cool beverages cold, all while keeping your hands comfortable. The low profile lid snaps tight to help prevent spills and the padded bottom gives extra grip so you can sip safely. Exclusively designed for  Japanese cherry blossom season.
