Amber Hojicha


"Amber Hojicha" is our highest grade of Hojicha.


Hojicha (焙じ茶) Although processed as a green team, hojicha has a dark liquor. 

Hojicha is made from either Sencha, Bancha or Kukicha. The tea twigs are roasted evenly on charcoal or sand.  By bringing the tea to a high temperature, the caffeine is extracted from the leaves. Thus Hojicha makes a wonderful drink throughout the day and the evening.


Hojicha would also appeal to coffee lovers because of its roasted flavor. 



Steep for 3 to 5 grams

Temp: 90-95 C 

30-40 Seconds and increase steeping time gradually 


*Try Hojicha latte with Almond milk and a little bit of maple or honey.
